On Feb 18th, 2022, the second 62000 DWT vessel “HERBERT” was delivered to CHIPOLBROK in CSSC CHENGXI Shipyard Co., Ltd. in Jiangyin. Marek ciesielczuk, the Consul General of Poland in Shanghai, attended the ceremony with his wife.

”HERBERT” is the world’s largest multi-purposed heavy lift vessel in the world. Representatives from CHIPOLBROK, Bank of Communication Financial Leasing Co., ltd, CSTC and CSSC CHENGXI Shipyard Co., Ltd signed the delivery document.

Guests then board the vessel to witness HERBERT’s maiden voyage.

Obvious Advantages of Vessel Type

“HERBERT” would be put into traditional liner of “Europe-Far East”, and carry wind project of SGRE at 3 loading ports in Tianjin, Vietnam etc., then head on to Sweden.

The vessel with LOA of 199.9m, breadth of 32.26m, depth of 19.3m, a full draft of 13.5 meters, has 5 spacious hatches. The surface of the open deck is flat and continuous, with a length of 160 meters and a maximum outreach of nearly 40 meters which equals to 14 standard basketball courts. It can meet the loading requirements of all kinds of super long cargos, and is also qualified for 2000 standard containers. Equipped with 4 deck cranes, the vessel is combined with capacity of 300 tons, which is suitable to load both project and bulk cargos.

For now CHIPOLBROK has over 30 multi-purposed heavy lift vessels, with capacity over 1,000,000 DWT. The fleet mainly composes of four vessel types, including 30,000 DWT, 32,000 DWT, 36,000 DWT, 62,000 DWT, and combined capacity range from 300 MT to 640 MT. Besides “HERBERT”, the remaining two 62,000 DWT vessels will be put into service subsequently on April, and June. With new vessel put into service, for sure the fleet of CHIPOLBROK will be upgraded.

On Feb 6^th , Chairman Xi, met with Polish President, Duda who came to China to attend the opening ceremony of the 2022 Winter Olympic Games in Beijing. Chairman Xi pointed out that both China and Poland should deepen the cooperation of “The Belt and Road” initiative. China is willing to actively participate in the construction of logistics hub in Poland and help Poland become a key node of China-EU supply chain.
